Small Groups

Opportunities for Growth and Fellowship

We hope you’ll take the time to visit one or more of our small groups and enjoy the time of fellowship, study and service that these groups offer. With a wide variety of options regarding time and location, we hope you can find a place to connect, no matter where you are in life. If you want help deciding on a group that is just right for you, contact Associate Pastor for Discipleship, John Melsness.

If you are interested in visiting or joining any of these groups, please email or call the contact person in advance so the group will be expecting you. Childcare for all groups is available by reservation; please contact Kelly Lewis to reserve childcare.

Christian Meditation

Mondays, 12:15 pm

St. Andrew’s Room 211

Contact: Doris Sing

Since the fall of 2008, a group has been meeting weekly for Christian meditation. Because our petitions can be misguided, meditation is a way to pray without words, letting the Spirit intercede for us according to God’s will. Meditation can help to focus our minds, relax, and feel God’s presence. It is also a way of fasting from the words, images, and thoughts that inundate us. Please join us as we draw near to God together.

Family on Mission

Sundays, 6:30 pm

The Whitney home

Contact: Steve and Jane Whitney

This group of men and women meet together weekly to study scripture, and be the family of Christ to one another.  We share dinner and special occasions with each other, and try to be the loving hands and feet of Jesus in our community.  You are invited to join us as we are learning how to practice our faith in our daily living.

Dinner and Movie Discussion

Tuesday at 6:30pm (4th Tuesday)

Clark home

Contact: Forrest or Pat Clark

The group watches one currently released movie and one movie on DVD prior to each group meeting.  A covered dish dinner is at the Clark’s and is often thematic to go with the movie.  Discussion is very focused on the movies and tying them to scripture.
